A Message from the Shura
All praise and thanks belongs to Allah, The Exalted, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful, and May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger and Servant, Muhammad, Aameen
To All Our Students:
As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh.
Welcome to Dar-us-Salaam, an “Islamic” community-building project unlike any other in the Washington Metropolitan area. Whether you are a teacher, student, administrator, or part of the supporting staff of Dar-us-Salaam, you have now joined hands with brothers and sisters from a variety of backgrounds, education, and experience. You are now part of an organization that is taking visionary strides to implement and establish a living vibrant Islamic community near Washington DC, the nation’s capital.
Your role in this noble endeavor is critical for the success of this project, like the bricks that make up a wall, each one supporting the other. It is important that you work with all the members of Dar-us-Salaam, giving advice and support whenever needed.
Our goal is to establish this community, to establish Islam as a way of life, such that it can serve as a role model for the rest of the Muslim communities across the country, in shaa Allah. Although we have come a long way since 1995, we still have a long way to go towards achieving this goal. Furthermore, achieving this noble goal comes with difficulties and hardships on the way, which requires patience and sacrifice from all of us.
The Shura needs your continued cooperation throughout this effort and also your feedback and advice. Please take the time to talk to us and let us know how we can help achieve this goal together. You will find that we are always ready to listen, in shaa Allah.
We pray that Allah, The Most Merciful, guides us to the truth and makes us hold firm to it.
May Allah grant us success in this life and the next and may the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon His Servant and Messenger, Muhammad.
Was-Salaamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh
